Water Rate Increase / Misstatement Correction

The Town is in the process of adjusting water rates in conjunction with conservation and the costs to deliver water.

The rate adjustment will be based on a rate study performed by Zions Municipal Finance. When the study becomes available, the Town will publish the study online and discuss the results at a public hearing scheduled for August 10 at 6:00 pm.

The Mayor made a statement in a public meeting that the rate increase was due to rate increases at the wholesale level. This statement was based on outdated information, and we are specifically correcting that misstatement.
