Notice is hereby given that the Town of Hideout will hold a public hearing on Thursday, March 12 at 6:00 p.m. at the Town Hall, located at 10860 North Hideout Trail, Hideout, UT  84036.  The Town of Hideout intends to apply for the Utah Outdoor Recreation Grant (UORG).  The purpose of the public hearing is to provide citizens with pertinent information about the UORG program and to allow for discussion of possible applications.  This public hearing will cover eligible activities, program requirements, and expected funding allocations in the region.  The UORG is to fund infrastructure projects that enhance recreational opportunities and amenities in Utah’s communities.  Projects offer economic opportunities, enhance quality of life, and provide social and health benefits.  Outdoor recreational infrastructure projects include trails, boat ramps, archery ranges, etc.  The size of grant ranges from $1,000 to $500,000 and requires a 50% match, half of which may be in-kind.  Projects must be completed within 24 months of the date the contract is signed and funding is given after the applicants spend the monies.  Further information can be obtained by contacting Town Administrator Jan McCosh, at 435-659-4739.  In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, individuals needing special accommodations (including auxiliary communicative aids and services) during this hearing should notify the Town Clerk at 435-659-4739, 10860 N.
