Public Notice of Town Council Mid Term Vacancy and Intent to fill a Town Council Member Vacancy

This is formal notice that the Hideout Town Council intends to fill a Council vacancy on Thursday, April 9, 2026 beginning at 5:30PM at Town Hall, in the Council Work Room. The vacancy was caused by the recent resignation of Council Member Bob Nadelberg on March 12, 2026.
To apply for this vacancy, an application, declaration of candidacy, and a conflict of interest disclosure statement must be completed and submitted by the close of business on Monday, April 6, 2026. The documents may be submitted during office hours 8:30a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Thursday, at Town Hall or by appointment (801) 989.2257 | mdevereux@hideoututah.gov, Town Recorder).
Materials may be downloaded from the website and are located on the front page of the website under News and Notices: www.hideoututah.gov or available at Town Hall. The Town will follow procedures pursuant to Utah Code § 20A-1-510.
Interviews will be conducted at the Town Council meeting beginning at 5:30 PM. In an open meeting, the council will interview each applicant who submits their name and meets qualifications. The Town Council Meeting will begin at 5:00 PM.
Candidates must meet the qualifications of Section 10-3-301 of Utah Code. Be advised that the person appointed to fill the mid-term vacancy will be appointed through December 31, 2027.
In accordance with state law, this notice is being provided at least two weeks prior to the meeting held to fill the vacancy.
Town Council Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month beginning at 5PM.
