Notice of Wildland Urban Interface Code Adoption

During the Town Council Meeting on March 10, 2022, Town Council will be discussing and possibly adopting the International Wildland Urban Interface Code and its Appendix C.

What is the Wildland Urban Interface Code?

Minimum regulations designed to reduce the risk to lives and property due to wildland fires. The State of Utah adopted the 2006 Wildland Urban Interface Code with amendments, and the Town of Hideout plans to adopt an amended version of the State of Utah’s code during the March 10, 2022 Town Council Meeting held at 6:00 p.m. electronically via Zoom.

When is compliance for the Wildland Urban Interface Code required?

The Wildland Urban Interface Code applies to all new construction and additions. Landscape and Home Plans are evaluated as part of the building permit plan review process.
